Harrison & Belmont LLC. is a think tank founded in 2001 by a team of Researchers and Engineers in the IT Security field. We collaborate Research & Development to work towards better tools and techniques for privacy and protection in a networked environment. Past client projects include Research & Development for Supercomputing & Academic centers, Health Care, Non-Profits, Fortune 500 companies, and medium size businesses.
We are strong supporters in using and developing open source tools, standards. and operating systems. We also believe that too much personal information is or can be revealed in a network setting. From IP header information to email and time spent browsing a site, people are being tracked 'digitally'. Traffic analysis is becoming more common, whether there is reason for concern or not.
Current focus areas include onion routing, mixmaster, and other anonymous networks used for browsing the internet, hosting web pages, blogs, freedom of speech, and all common protocols such as FTP and SSH, hybrid proxies and there uses for personal privacy, all layers of network and application security, Virtual Private Networks, Cryptography, and frameworks used when securing such applications, networks, and protocols.
